Meet DAWN
Entrepreneur, OLYMPIC LEVEL ATHLETE, COACH, MENTOR AND SPORTS ENTHUSIAST
Born in London
Raised in Zimbabwe, oldest out of 3 siblings, attended Hellenic Junior and the Dominican Convent High School in Harare. As a Junior, Dawn swam competitively, played provincial baseball and hockey, laying the foundation blocks for the future. Full Sporting Colours for Excellence were awarded at the Convent.

Dawn represented the U18 National Team for Zimbabwe in field hockey 1998 and 1999, her Club hockey was played with OH (Old Hararians) and was a member of the Zimbabwe Women's National Team training squad.
​
Moving to Scotland at 18, selected for provincial hockey for Scottish Midlands. Club Hockey was played for the European A Champions Menzieshill. In 2000 Olympic Hockey Trials were held in Athens, for elite level athletes of Greek descent. Dawn was subsequently drafted to play in the Greek Olympic Field Hockey Squad in preparation for the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. Dawn represented OBO Goalkeeping as a sponsored player over this period.

Between 2000-2004 most of the time was spent on the road, in the air , training and playing on the European Hockey Circuit.
​
Dawn completed both HNC and HND in Sports Coaching and Sports Development at Dundee College before moving onto Cardiff to complete BSc(HONS) Sports Coaching Degree 2005. Whilst at university Dawn represented Welsh Students in waterpolo and played club hockey at the Welsh Institute of Sport in Sophia Gardens for Howardians.

After the Games, Dawn moved to London to pursue a career in private coaching and recreation management. Opportunity presented itself to move to the Gulf in 2008 and over the last 15 years created and cemented a top rate coaching brand for women by women.
​
To date Coach Sport has mentored and created careers for over 50 women who wish to develop their sports coaching acumen. Sights have been set on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the next chapter.
​
The vision is firmly in place to develop and mentor roles within Sports Coaching and Recreation fields; not only as equal competitors, but as competent and creative business owners.
Ambition is the first step to success, the second step is Action.
